PanelVPN quick start guide

This guide explains the essential steps to get started: account, routers, WireGuard, incidents, and best practices.

1. Create and secure your account

  • Sign up and validate activation.
  • Sign in and change password immediately.
  • Choose FR/EN language at the top.

2. Add a MikroTik router

  • Open Routers & L2TP and add your router.
  • Check published endpoints: API, Winbox, WebFig.
  • Ensure the router is reachable through VPN/L2TP.

3. Create WireGuard access

  • Go to WireGuard and create a client peer.
  • Download the .conf file or show the QR code.
  • Enable/disable peers based on customer needs.

4. 🛡️ PanelVPN Shield — personal VPN

A separate product from the router management above: your own VPN tunnel for private browsing, on as many devices as your plan allows.

  • Open "🛡️ PanelVPN Shield" in the menu and choose a plan.
  • Pay via Moov Money, Orange Money, Sama Money or card.
  • Add a device (name + exit server), then download the .conf file.
  • Import that file into the official WireGuard app on your phone/computer.

5. Track SLA and incidents

  • Check WG SLA for global availability.
  • Check WG Incidents for opened/resolved outages.
  • Export CSV data for external reporting.

6. Alerts and operations

  • Set offline alert thresholds per customer.
  • Enable email / webhook channels when needed.
  • Monitor notifications for fast response.

7. Best practices

  • Start with a small pilot customer before broad rollout.
  • Plan a daily check of open incidents.
  • Monitor 7d vs 30d MTTR to detect regressions.
